Trapped in Zone One is hosting weekly workshops with London-based artist Nadina Ali during Black History Month, focusing on creating posters that celebrate unsung heroes from Tower Hamlets. This year’s theme, “Reclaiming Narratives,” emphasizes recognizing and correcting Black history and culture. Participants will explore everyday individuals—teachers, nurses, bus drivers—who have positively impacted their communities, using provided materials. Nadina, a multi-disciplinary artist from Marseille, is dedicated to social justice and representation, employing bold typography to engage a wider audience. She aims to make art accessible, amplifying the voices of under-represented people through her diverse artistic practices.
